One resented thing in the Arab mentality is The in-built and deep concept of womens unproductivity. The idea that women cant live without male guardianship in every aspect of their life is really appalling. The wide- spread (male chauvinism) is forming an image that women are inferior which is hopelessly false and unfair. Such immature concepts had made many women in the Arab world unproductive, not because they cant but because of the assumption that the inferiority of women is true, and which requires certain mechanisms such as brainwashing, which is associated with certain stereotypical acts. One thing that confirms the existence of such acts, is the unconvincing refusal and denial of political rights by some Kuwaiti women who thought that they dont deserve their rights, or if they have them they wont be able to handle them . such a regression I think- is dangerous, because women have been taught that they are inferior, the only explanation to that is the (absorption of male superiority ) by women themselves ,which is a thing that shouldnt be tolerated
Another question is Who is responsible for the decline of womens productivity? Is it a lack of innovation, and motivation, or is it the repression to all skills and talents that can be usefully activated?
Its obviously that such oppressions are totally condemned by Islam which had re-granted women their dignity and rights. Its easy to pay lip service to the allegation that women have neither experience nor expertise, but a substantial answer says that the unfair oppression is the main factor that delayed women capabilities recruitment.
Another noticeable thing to this is that there is a degree of contempt to productive women, a successful woman is portrayed with the blackest terms, when called a feminist or a spinster if old, and such image lacks human understanding and replaces it with segregation and differentiating according to gender which is quite unhealthy to the civic body .
Innovation is not elitist, productivity is not too, in all societies. And no doubt effectiveness, efficiency and productivity are major aims of roughly all governments, but what Arab societies need is a revamp of the unfair biased concept, and a recruitment of all deserted capacities, which will lead to mature awareness.
The idea of a productive society can only be achieved through a joint participation by both men and women. And thats a fact we should all consider.
